Product Designer - Bags & Accessories

Role

Key Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and design new bag collections aligned with brand identity and market trends.
• Develop sketches, technical drawings, and prototypes with detailed specifications for materials, trims, and construction.
• Research and forecast fashion, lifestyle, and functional trends in bags and accessories.
• Work closely with sourcing, sampling, and production teams to ensure design feasibility and quality execution.
• Create mood boards, color stories, and material boards for seasonal collections.
• Collaborate with the marketing and retail teams to align product storytelling with design intent.
• Manage multiple design projects, ensuring timely delivery from concept to sample approval.
• Stay up to date with emerging D2C, lifestyle, and travel accessory trends to bring innovation into the product range.
  

Skills & Experience Required

• 3+ years of experience in bag design, preferably with lifestyle or D2C brands.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating design process, material understanding, and finished product execution.
• Education from a leading design institute such as NIFT, NID, Srishti, Symbiosis, MIT, IIT Guwahati, UID, or Pearl.
• Experience with brands like Mokobara, Samsonite, VIP, Nasher Miles, or similar categories is a strong plus.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, or other design and
  

• Strong sense of form, color, proportion, and utility.
• Knowledge of bag construction techniques, pattern making, and material sourcing.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, ability to work cross functionally with design, product, and production teams.
