Role & responsibilities

Technical Responsibilities

• Float RFQs to approved vendors based on project-specific BOQs and drawings for various racking solutions, including:
  - Stacker Crane Systems (ASRS) - Multideep Shuttle Racking - Rack Clad Warehouses (Standard and Cold Storage)
• For Rack Clad Warehouses, float and manage separate RFQs for multiple packages such as:
  - Racking, Cladding, Roofing, Insulation, Sprinkler systems, etc.
• Review and validate technical details, scope coverage, material specifications, and drawing references in vendor offers.
• Ensure alignment of vendor quotations with engineering/design inputs and customer requirements.
• Coordinate with Design and Engineering teams to clarify overlaps, specification queries, or drawing-based gaps.
• Engage with the Quality team for vendor technical audits, evaluation, and onboarding.
• Develop and onboard new vendors across North, West, South, and East India for:
  - Supply & installation of cladding, PUF panels (cold storage), insulation, and accessories.
• Propose value-engineered solutions based on technical feasibility, project constraints, and cost optimization.

Commercial Responsibilities

• Evaluate vendor offers for key commercial terms: payment terms, delivery timelines, freight, taxes, and exclusions.
• Obtain detailed price bifurcations for material, installation, transportation, and optional items.
• Review and validate vendor-provided technical and commercial consideration sheets.
• Prepare commercial comparison sheets scope-wise and consolidated for internal review and pricing finalization.
• Benchmark vendor pricing across project types and maintain target costing models.
• Identify commercial deviations or ambiguities and ensure resolution before final costing submission.
• Support in price negotiations and internal cost alignment for competitive proposals.

Follow-up & Documentation

• Maintain a structured tracker of all ongoing enquiries:
  - RFQ float date, vendor response status, clarifications pending, and quote validity.
• Follow up with vendors to ensure timely quote submissions and reduced turnaround time.
• Maintain documentation of communications, clarifications, and multiple quote versions.
• Build and update a historical database of vendor pricing, scope benchmarks, and quote trends for future reference.
