Procurement Buyer

As a Procurement Specialist at Giant Eagle Bangalore, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the procurement process to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Your responsibilities will include: - Overseeing the entire procurement process from initial requisition to final delivery, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness. - Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers, building relationships, and managing the existing supplier base. - Negotiating favorable terms with suppliers, onboarding vendors, and managing purchase orders to ensure adherence to contractual obligations. - Collaborating with the Legal team and vendors to review, negotiate, and execute contracts. - Working closely with internal stakeholders such as IT, Finance, and HR to address procurement needs for the Giant Eagle India office and ensure smooth procurement operations. - Performing ongoing assessments of procurement initiatives, including measuring the service levels of vendors. - Managing contract and renewal processes effectively. To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications: - 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in procurement. - A Bachelor's Degree in a related field is desired. - Experience in supporting cross-functional teams. - Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities. - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders. - Proficiency in navigating and managing cross-functional relationships.
