Procurement Assistant

As a Procurement Officer based in Mumbai, India, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials for our offshore and Shipping clients. Your daily tasks will involve negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. Additionally, you will oversee procurement budgets, evaluate vendors, maintain procurement records, and strive to meet monthly sales targets. You will report to the Procurement Manager on a daily basis. To excel in this role, you should possess strong negotiation, vendor management, and client management skills. A good relationship with Shipping companies and material vendors would be advantageous. Experience in strategic sourcing, procurement planning, proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. You should be able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team, with previous experience in a procurement role, preferably in a similar industry.
