Process Engineer

As a Process Engineer at SPX Flow in Pune, your role involves working on projects and bid proposals to design equipment systems or parts. You will be responsible for developing process designs meeting project requirements, ensuring timely delivery of design outputs, providing technical support, and undertaking various technical tasks as needed. Your key responsibilities as a Process Engineer include: - Ensuring safety and environmental considerations in plant designs - Generating process solutions and defining characteristics like process flowsheets and equipment specifications - Completing design calculations to support process design and equipment selection - Ensuring compliance with legislation, regulations, and customer requirements - Participating in reviews and meetings, and communicating effectively with stakeholders - Preparing process operating instructions and maintaining design information In addition, as a Lead Engineer, you may lead a multi-disciplinary team, establish time schedules, manage resources, and ensure compliance with design standards and procedures. As a member of the global engineering team, you will provide technical support, share knowledge, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications required for this role: - Degree in Process, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering - Experience in Dairy, Food, Beverage, Pharmaceutical, or hygienic industries - Understanding of hygienic design principles and clean-in-place systems - Experience in leading technically oriented teams - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD; SAP experience is beneficial - Fluent in English, with good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills You should be able to work independently, collaborate with colleagues across functions and locations, and maintain high performance standards with integrity. Travel to other SPX locations and customer sites, up to approximately 30% globally, is required. This office-based role may involve extended periods at a computer with occasional working away from the office.
