Process Engineer-Skid

JOB Summary

• We are looking for a Process Engineer with 3–5 years of experience in skid/package engineering and design within the oil & gas, petrochemical, or process plant sectors.
• The role involves process design, preparation of engineering deliverables, and ensuring compliance with international standards for skid-mounted systems such as pump skids, filtration units, separators, and treatment packages.
  

Responsibilities

• Develop process design deliverables including Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), heat and material balances, and process datasheets.
• Perform sizing and hydraulic calculations for equipment, control valves, safety relief valves, and pipelines.
• Support preparation of line sizing, pressure drop calculations, and utility requirements.
• Ensure process design meets ASME, API, ISO, and project-specific standards.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation engineers to ensure design integration.
• Review vendor documents/datasheets and provide process input during technical bid evaluations.
• Provide process support during FAT, SAT, commissioning, and performance testing.
  

Technical And Industry Experience

• Proven experience in process design for skid-mounted systems/packages in oil & gas, petrochemical, or chemical industries.
• Familiarity with ASME, API, ASTM, and relevant process safety standards.
• Knowledge of API 520/521, API 2000, and fluid flow principles.
• Experience with process simulation software (Aspen HYSYS, PRO-II, or equivalent).
• Understanding of HAZOP, SIL, and process safety compliance.
• Exposure to fabrication, testing, and commissioning of skids is desirable.
  

Skills & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical / Process Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in process design for skid/package engineering.
• Strong skills in process simulations, hydraulic calculations, and relief valve sizing.
• Ability to interpret PFDs, P&IDs, and vendor process documents.
• Proficiency in MS Office and process design software tools.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities with attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills in a multidisciplinary environment.
