Process Engineer - Mining

Job Description

Role Grade: Process Engineer Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Process Engineering (or related field). Soft Skills: Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills Key Responsibilities: Develop, evaluate, and optimize manufacturing and industrial processes for improved efficiency and quality. Monitor daily operations and troubleshoot process-related issues to minimize downtime and losses. Analyze data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for process improvement or cost reduction. Assist in the design and implementation of new equipment, systems, or modifications to existing setups. Ensure processes comply with environmental, health, and safety standards. Collaborate with production, maintenance, quality, and R&D teams to execute projects and meet operational goals. Create and maintain detailed documentation, including process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA). Train operators and staff on new or modified processes. Support commissioning and start-up of new equipment or facilities.
