Join BSM today as we continue shaping the future of shipping while enabling international commerce for millions worldwide.JOB OBJECTIVE: To comply with efforts of the company with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable data protection laws applicable.

Key Accountabilities

  • Establish and maintain the required documents concerning GDPR including but not limited to Register of Processing Activities (RoPA), (DPA), Data Processing Impact Assessment (DPIA), Consent forms, update of privacy notices, manuals as required.
  • Active involvement in any Data Subject Request and any Data breaches
  • Monitoring and regular assessment and audits to identify possible weakness in data protection compliance within the group and implementing remedial actions
  • Advice business segments about the application of data protection and implementation of privacy by design and default.
  • Conducting internal trainings and create awareness related to GDPR and any other data protection topics.
  • Reporting any deviations and non-compliance of GDPR related issues to the attention of Management.
  • Involving in any other matters including adhoc assignments related to data protection in general and GDPR in specific.

Requirements

Education & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree is mandatory in law, data protection and/or IT
  • CIPP qualification is desirable though not mandatory.

Job-Specific Skills

  • Knowledge of GDPR is mandatory.
  • Candidate should have worked / working in similar profile and would have ideally handled all or most of the requirements listed out in Key accountabilities for a minimum of 3 years.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fluency in English
