Your impactAs a Senior Medical Planner professional, you will lead the strategic planning and design of healthcare facilities, ensuring alignment with clinical goals, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative, patient-centered environments that support healing and enhance healthcare delivery.
- Lead the strategic, master facility, and functional space planning for healthcare projects ranging from 80,000 to 800,000+ sq. ft.
- Develop clinical planning solutions across the continuum of care outpatient, acute, post-acute, and specialty services.
- Apply evidence-based design principles and best practices to optimize patient outcomes and staff efficiency.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and consultants to ensure seamless integration of medical planning into overall design.
- Conduct user group meetings with healthcare providers and stakeholders to gather requirements and validate planning assumptions.
- Oversee the creation of functional programs, space matrices, and departmental layouts.
- Provide QA/QC oversight for medical planning deliverables and ensure compliance with FGI, ADA, and local building codes.
- Mentor junior planners and contribute to the professional development of the healthcare design team.
- Utilize tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, and healthcare-specific planning software to produce design documentation.
Here's what you'll need
Qualification
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Healthcare Design, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in healthcare planning and design.
- Strong knowledge of clinical operations, medical equipment planning, and healthcare regulations.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and client engagement skills.
- Certification in healthcare planning (e.g., ACHA, EDAC) is a plus.
