Responsibilities

We are looking for a seasoned Principal with over 10 years of experience in leading development teams and delivering high-quality technical solutions. This role involves not only technical leadership and stakeholder communication but also hands-on development. The ideal candidate will be an SME in modern cloud-native development, proficient in event-driven architecture and integration design, and capable of mentoring developers while enforcing coding standards and best practices.Key Responsibilities:Team Leadership and Stakeholder EngagementLead and mentor development team members in EDA project Communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, providing updates and risk assessmentsFoster a collaborative and productive development environmentCode Quality and Best PracticesDefine and implement coding standards and quality assurance processes and drive automation towards that Conduct detailed code reviews to ensure high performance, security, and maintainabilityEncourage continuous learning and knowledge sharing among developersArchitecture and DesignDesign scalable and secure APIs, events, integrations, and system adaptersCollaborate with architects and product owners to refine technical requirements and solutionsEnsure alignment of design decisions with enterprise architecture and strategyCross-Functional CollaborationWork with cross-functional teams to manage dependencies and coordinate deliverablesFacilitate integration with multiple systems and services in an agile development environmentHands-on DevelopmentAct as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in software development, providing technical guidanceWrite and review code as needed in complex areas to ensure best practices are followedLead by example through active participation in key development activities

Qualifications

Experience:10+ years of software development experience with at least 2 years in leading a teamProven ability to lead distributed development teams and deliver enterprise-grade software

Technical Skills

Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud development, Kafka, and Spring BootProficient in API design (must have), JSON, and Avro schemaFamiliarity with event-driven architecture and microservices integrationExperience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines

Soft Skills

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skillsExcellent communication and leadership abilitiesAbility to manage time, priorities, and multiple tasks efficiently

Preferred Skills

Experience in Agile and Scrum environments, and Node JSFamiliarity with Confluent Kafka or similar platformsExposure to containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, EKS)
