Job Description

About the Role: As a Cloud Presales Engineer with a focus on AWS , you will play a critical role in our sales process, working closely with the sales and technical teams to provide expert guidance and solutions for our clients. A key part of your role will revolve around solutioning understanding complex customer needs and designing tailored, scalable cloud architectures using AWS services. This position requires strong technical acumen, excellent communication skills, and a passion for cloud technologies. Key Responsibilities: Solutioning and Architecture Design (Primary Focus): Lead the solutioning process by deeply understanding customer requirements and designing effective, scalable cloud architectures using AWS services. Create architecture diagrams and detailed solution proposals aligned with business and technical needs. Collaborate with internal teams to define and refine solution scope and technical direction. Ensure solutions are cost-optimized, secure, and aligned with industry best practices. Technical Expertise and Consultation: Act as a subject matter expert on AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, etc. Support the sales process with product demonstrations, technical workshops, and Proof of Concepts (POCs). Provide technical guidance on cloud migration strategies, application modernization, and cloud-native development. Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong customer relationships, gaining insights into their technical and business challenges. Conduct webinars, training sessions, and cloud workshops to educate and enable customers. Gather and relay customer feedback to help refine offerings and strategies. Sales Support: Work closely with the sales team to develop account strategies and drive cloud solution adoption. Deliver compelling technical presentations and proposals to stakeholders. Assist in the creation of RFPs, RFQs, and other formal documentation. Continuous Learning and Development: Stay current with evolving AWS services, industry trends, and emerging technologies. Pursue AWS certifications and participate in internal knowledge-sharing sessions. Contribute to internal solution libraries and documentation for reuse and standardization. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Several years of experience in a presales, solution engineering, or technical consulting role focused on cloud. Proven hands-on expertise in designing and implementing AWS-based solutions. Strong understanding of cloud computing models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, hybrid cloud). AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) highly preferred. Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to thrive in a collaborative, high-velocity environment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with other cloud platforms such as Azure or Google Cloud. Familiarity with DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) like Terraform or CloudFormation. Understanding of cloud security, governance, and compliance frameworks. Background in software development, scripting, or systems administration is a plus.
