Product Portfolio:

HPLC and DissolutionAs an Application Engineer for HPLC and Dissolution, you will play a crucial role in supporting the sales and customer success teams by providing technical expertise and application support for our Chromatography and Dissolution products. You will work closely with customers to understand their analytical needs, provide demonstrations of our product and solutions, and offer guidance on method development and optimization. This role requires a combination of scientific knowledge, technical proficiency, and strong communication skills to ensure customer satisfaction and drive business growth.

Core Responsibilities -

Defines the day-to-day duties of this role
  • Assists sales account managers and product specialists to meet or exceed sales quota by providing sales and customers with technical/scientific expertise, primarily in the areas of application and technical support.
  • May be client or product oriented.
  • Contributes to sales account planning.
  • Participates actively in the sales process from deal qualification to deal closure.
  • Owns the deal’s technical closure.
  • Responsible for meeting sales targets and for supporting sales organizations to meet targets.
  • Is knowledgeable of competition and able to identify lockout specifications (identify Agilent's competitive advantage over competition).
  • Analyzes customer requirements and recommends appropriate solutions.
  • Collaborates with the sales team in the development of technical sales strategies.
  • Evaluates and supports management on ramp to volume strategies for new products.
  • Is responsible for demos and for enhancing customers’ experience and satisfaction.
  • Provides training to the sales force.
  • Acts as the customer voice to influence future product/application design that meets customer needs, including writing application briefs to highlight product capabilities.
  • Prepares and delivers technical seminars to customers or potential customers and contributes to recognized scientific forums, including written, oral and poster presentations.
  • May also contribute to post-sales activities.
  • Must consent to participate and meet Agilent approved customer/vendor credentialing requirements necessary to gain access to customer sites. Requirements may include, but are not limited to, proof of identification, proof of certification to perform the work required, customer health and safety requirements, etc.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Chemistry /Analytical Chemistry / Instrumentation / Pharmacy / Biotechnology / Life Science or equivalent
  • Relevant experience of analytical instruments like HPLC/Dissolution. Method development/optimization skills involving HPLC
  • 5+ years of operational experience of HPLC in analytical instrument, food, chemical or pharma market.
  • Candidate should enjoy travelling and visiting customers.
  • Excellent numerical, verbal and written communication, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills along with good organizational skills.

This job has a full time weekly schedule.Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
