Pre-Engineered Building Execution

ARole & responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Coordination

• Assist in overall planning and scheduling of PEB works for Greenfield projects.
  
• Review project drawings, specifications, design inputs, and BOQs.
  
• Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, MEP teams, and internal project teams.
  
• Support preparation of project execution plans and PEB construction strategies.
  

2. Design & Engineering Management

• Review PEB structural drawings, connection details, fabrication drawings, and shop drawings.
  
• Coordinate design revisions with PEB vendors and consultants.
  
• Verify design calculations, load data, and compliance with IS codes, MBMA, AISC, or project specifications.
  
• Ensure constructability and compatibility of PEB design with foundation and civil works.
  

3. Vendor & Contract Management

• Assist in vendor evaluation, tendering, technical comparisons, and contract finalization for PEB suppliers.
  
• Ensure timely submission of drawings, fabrication schedules, and material dispatch plans.
  
• Liaise with vendors to track manufacturing progress and expedite deliveries.
  

4. Site Execution & Supervision

• Supervise on-site erection of PEB structures, including columns, rafters, mezzanines, purlins, sheeting, and accessories.
  
• Monitor alignment, bolt tightening, welding quality, and safe lifting/erection practices.
  
• Coordinate with civil teams for anchor bolts, pedestal readiness, and foundation compatibility.
  
• Conduct daily / weekly site progress reviews.
  

5. Quality Assurance & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with approved drawings, QC checklists, material standards, and project specifications.
  
• Inspect incoming materials, such as steel members, bolts, purlins, sheeting, and fasteners.
  
• Monitor welding quality, bolt torque, coating, paint quality, and anti-corrosion treatments.
  
• Address NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) and implement corrective actions.
  

6. Safety Management

• Ensure adherence to all HSE guidelines during lifting, rigging, and working at heights.
  
• Support preparation of Method Statements and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
  
• Conduct toolbox talks and enforce safety practices.
  

7. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain DPRs (Daily Progress Reports), MPRs (Monthly Progress Reports), and material tracking sheets.
  
• Support billing verification, measurement sheets, and RA bill certification.
  
• Track project milestones and highlight delays, risks, and mitigation plans

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of PEB design, fabrication, and erection processes.
  
• Understanding of structural engineering principles.
  
• Proficiency in reading drawings: GA drawings, fabrication drawings, erection drawings.
  
• Familiarity with project management tools (MS Project/Primavera optional).
  
• Excellent communication and vendor coordination skills.
  
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and planning abilities.
  
• Knowledge of safety protocols for PEB erection.

Educational Qualifications

• B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering / Mechanical Engineering (mandatory).
  
• M.Tech (Structural Engineering) is an added advantage.

Assistant Manager (PEB Greenfield Projects)

• 5-8 years of experience in PEB engineering, fabrication, or site execution.
  
• Experience in industrial/warehouse/large-scale Greenfield construction projects preferred.
  

Deputy Manager (PEB Greenfield Projects)

• 812 years of experience in PEB design, planning, and site execution.
  
• Should have handled end-to-end PEB lifecycle in at least one major Greenfield project.
