Practice Lead

Data and AI competency Lead/practice lead

• Years of Experience : 12+ years, preferably in the IT sector
• Must have played a similar role leading a team of data engineers and data scientists for at least 5+ years ( mandatory)
• Hands on Data leader comes with a pedigree of Data Engineering, data architecture and management.
• Demonstrable Design and Implementation experience of MS Azure and AWS data platforms is mandatory
• Experience of delivering full lifecycle Fixed prices projects (Design, Build and Run)
• Demonstrable use of AI tools to improve productivity, automation and cost optimisation
• Exposure of working with UK/USA customers, can handle senior customer expectations and escalations
• Excellent written and verbal skills - we will test both these skills
• Have done pre-sales - proposals, customer pitches
• Have worked on estimations, creating commercials
• Team management - team of 50+ data professionals, architects, engineers and data scientists

Responsibilities:

• Manage and grow data practice with a starting team of up to 25+ data engineers and data science professionals mid to senior consultants.
• Hand on leadership - ability to guide, troubleshoot and handle data related issues, new requirements and proposals
• Ability to scale and manager larger teams across locations in the future
• Use of AI tools for productivity, automation and cost optimisation
• Handle end to end Managed Service fixed price transition from onsite to offshore from hiring to onboarding, induction, Knowledge transfer to business as usual
• Single point contact for customer on all transition, KT and BAU issues
• Single point contact for IQ on all transition, KT and BAU issues
• Handle motivation and well being of team
• Manage attrition as one of KPI's
• Handle disciplinary issues, and other productivity challenges
• Willing to travel to the UK on short term (4-6 weeks)
