Power BI Developer

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Power BI Developer with 4+ years of hands-on experience in developing interactive dashboards, data models, and analytical reports. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transforming raw data into meaningful insights that drive business decisions. If you have a strong background in Power BI, DAX, SQL, and data visualization best practices, we’d love to have you on our team.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
• Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into technical requirements.
• Develop and optimize data models for scalability and performance.
• Integrate Power BI with multiple data sources such as SQL Server, Excel, and APIs.
• Implement DAX queries and functions to create calculated columns, measures, and KPIs.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security across reporting systems.
• Perform regular maintenance, enhancements, and troubleshooting of Power BI reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to automate and streamline reporting processes.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Power BI and Microsoft data analytics trends.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Power BI Developer or in a similar BI/Analytics role.
• Proficiency in Power BI (Power Query, DAX, Power BI Service, and Power BI Desktop).
• Strong SQL skills for querying, data extraction, and transformation.
• Experience in data modeling, ETL processes, and relational databases.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Preferred (Nice to Have):

• Experience with Azure Data Services (e.g., Azure SQL, Synapse, Data Factory).
• Knowledge of Python, R, or other data manipulation tools.
• Exposure to Power Automate or other Microsoft Power Platform tools.
• Experience in integrating Power BI with third-party systems or APIs.
• Microsoft Power BI Certification (PL-300) or equivalent is a plus.
