Job Description

The Power BI Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports that provide key insights to business stakeholders. The role demands strong expertise in Power BI, data modeling, and DAX, along with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into BI solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and publish interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, and scorecards.
  • Work with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze data needs, and deliver customized BI solutions.
  • Build and optimize data models to support reporting and analytics requirements.
  • Develop and implement DAX queries and functions for complex calculations.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance of BI solutions.
  • Integrate Power BI with different data sources such as SQL, Excel, APIs, and cloud platforms.
  • Implement row-level security (RLS) and role-based access controls.
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to define KPIs and performance metrics.
  • Stay updated on Power BI features, industry best practices, and emerging BI tools.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • 3 to 6 years of hands-on experience in Power BI development.
  • Strong proficiency in DAX, Power Query, and Data Modeling.
  • Expertise in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
  • Experience connecting Power BI with multiple data sources (databases, APIs, Excel, etc.).
  • Good understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Good To Have

  • Experience with Azure Data Services (Azure SQL, Data Lake, Synapse).
  • Familiarity with Python or R for advanced analytics.
  • Knowledge of other BI/visualization tools (Tableau, Qlik).
  • Exposure to statistical and predictive analytics.
