Portfolio Analyst

• We’ll look to you to support discrete activities using Agile and DevOps principles in the development of the strategic technology investment or domain portfolio
• You’ll be developing components of the rolling wave strategic themed investment plan for review by a portfolio manager
• This is an opportunity to support and maintain a positive working relationship with stakeholders by collaborating across multiple franchises and functions at different levels of hierarchy

What you'll do

As a Portfolio Analyst, you’ll be supporting the Technology Portfolio Manager to provide the rolling wave strategic themed investment plan and transformation portfolio design services by actioning aspects of the technology portfolio management approach.

Day-to-day, you'll be:

• Partnering with stakeholders to review and help manage the approval process of the financial business case
• Providing MI and stakeholder feedback to support regular reviews of the change portfolio, and making sure it remains aligned with business priorities and within domain or platform risk and control appetites
• Producing, developing and maintaining relevant, timely and accurate reporting iteratively to assist with the optimisation of the strategic rolling wave, strategic themed investment plan
• Supporting the management of the implementation of the architecture outcomes, so that the design and delivered components are in line with our architecture

The skills you'll need

To succeed in this role, you’ll need at least five years of knowledge and experience of portfolio management theories, models and practices, including scaled Agile frameworks and Prince 2 methodologies, within an Agile or DevOps environment.

In addition, you’ll need:

• Experience of delivering portfolio analysis in a technology or IT environment
• Good interpersonal skills
