Role Summary

Policy Lead

Key Responsibilities

  • Policy Development & Advocacy

    • Draft and advocate

      policy notes, position papers, and briefs

      for clients across industries.
    • Translate complex

      regulations, laws, and government directives

      into clear, actionable insights for business leaders.
    • Support clients in

      policy positioning and advocacy strategies

      aligned with their long-term reputation goals.
  • Stakeholder Engagement

    • Build and nurture relationships with

      government stakeholders, industry associations, think tanks, and chambers of commerce

      .
    • Act as a bridge between clients and policy influencers, ensuring dialogue that is credible and constructive.
  • Advisory & Strategic Counsel

    • Provide guidance on

      policy trends, legislative updates, and regulatory risks

      that may impact client operations and reputation.
    • Integrate policy advisory seamlessly into

      reputation and crisis management programs

      .
    • Collaborate with internal

      communications, media, and crisis teams

      to ensure holistic advisory.
  • Knowledge Leadership

    • Monitor

      emerging policy issues, economic reforms, and governance trends

      , and create knowledge assets for clients and the firm.
    • Represent Adfactors PR in

      policy and industry forums

      as a thought leader.

Requirements

  • Experience

    : 7-10 years in

    public policy, government affairs, advocacy, or regulatory affairs

    , ideally across consulting, corporate affairs, think tanks, or public institutions.
  • Strong understanding of

    government processes, regulatory frameworks, and stakeholder mapping

    .
  • Proven ability to

    engage with policymakers, regulators, and industry bodies

    .
  • Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills able to translate complex policy language into business-friendly insights.
  • Exposure to

    reputation management, public affairs, or issues management

    (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Ability to thrive in a

    fast-paced, client-centric environment

    , working across industries and projects.
  • A natural inclination for

    networking, collaboration, and thought leadership

    .
