As a Platform Architect at NationsBenefits, your role will involve leading the design, implementation, and governance of technology release platforms. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver modern, robust, and scalable solutions aligned with business objectives and technology best practices. Your responsibilities will include overseeing platform governance processes, evolving change management processes, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines for automated software deployment. Key Responsibilities: - Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations and standards through platform governance processes. - Implement innovative change management processes for smooth deployment of new features and updates. - Establish and enforce change control and release policies while minimizing impact on release cadence. - Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated software deployment. - Develop release automation strategies to enhance product release speed and quality. - Streamline deployment pipelines with DevOps teams to reduce manual intervention. - Translate business requirements into technical solutions by collaborating with cross-functional teams. - Drive innovation in platform organization for rapid and low-touch release cadences. - Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior architects, developers, and stakeholders. - Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience). - 8+ years of experience in platform architecture focusing on governance, change management, and release automation. - Expertise in CI/CD automation practices and tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and Argo Workflows/CD. - Strong experience with Azure Cloud services and architecture, particularly supporting AKS and Azure Web Apps. - Deep technical knowledge of .Net and/or Java programming ecosystems in cloud-based architectures. - Understanding of governance frameworks for large-scale enterprise applications. - Experience with Agile methodologies and fast-paced development environments. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Proven leadership experience in mentoring and guiding technical teams.
