Plant In Charge

The Plant In-Charge is responsible for overseeing the entire daily operation of the manufacturing unit. This role involves end-to-end management, from raw material procurement to final product dispatch, ensuring production targets are met with high quality and within budget. Key Responsibilities: Production Planning: Create daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to meet sales demand. Optimize mix ratios (Fly ash, Cement, Sand/Dust, Aggregate) to ensure product strength while managing costs. Ensure the plant runs at optimum capacity to maximize output (bricks/pavers per shift). Team Management: Supervise machine operators, helpers, and laborers. Manage shift timings, attendance, and worker discipline. Train new staff on machine usage and safety protocols. Inventory & Logistics: Monitor stock levels of raw materials (Fly ash, Cement, Gypsum/Lime, Grit) and coordinate timely reordering. Oversee the curing process (water curing) to ensure bricks/blocks achieve required strength before dispatch. Manage finished goods inventory and coordinate with the sales team for dispatch. Maintenance & Quality Control: Schedule preventative maintenance for hydraulic presses, pan mixers, and conveyor belts to minimize downtime. Conduct regular quality checks on dimensions, compressive strength, and finishing of bricks and pavers. Troubleshoot technical issues immediately to prevent production stoppages. Reporting: Maintain daily production logs (raw material consumption vs. output). Report daily expenses, labor wages, and production efficiency to the owner/director.
