Key Responsibilities:

1. Plant HR Operations & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws, factories act, and statutory requirements.
  • Manage payroll inputs, attendance, shift rosters, leave, and contract labor compliance.
  • Handle audits, inspections, and liaison with labor authorities.Greenfield & brownfield projects experience.

2. Industrial Relations (IR)

  • Maintain healthy industrial relations and manage union interactions, if applicable.
  • Handle grievances, disciplinary actions, domestic enquiries, and conflict resolution.
  • Prevent and manage industrial disputes, absenteeism, and attrition.

3. Workforce Planning & Talent Management

  • Plan and optimize manpower based on production requirements.
  • Manage recruitment for shop-floor, staff, and contractual roles.
  • Drive training, skill development, apprenticeships, and succession planning.

4. Performance Management & Productivity

  • Implement performance management systems for plant employees.
  • Support productivity improvement initiatives (Lean, TPM, Kaizen, Six Sigma).
  • Partner with operations to improve efficiency and workforce effectiveness.

5. Employee Engagement & Culture

  • Drive employee engagement initiatives and welfare programs.
  • Promote company values, safety culture, and ethical workplace practices.
  • Organize communication forums, town halls, and engagement activities.

6. Health, Safety & Welfare

  • Support EHS initiatives and ensure safety compliance across the plant.
  • Promote safe work practices and participate in accident investigations.
  • Oversee canteen, transport, medical, and other employee welfare facilities.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and factory HR practices
  • Excellent industrial relations and negotiation skills
  • Leadership, conflict management, and communication skills
  • Experience in manufacturing / polymer / engineering plants
  • Hands-on approach with shop-floor workforce

Qualifications & Experience

  • BE/MBA / MSW in Human Resources or equivalent
  • 15 years of HR experience, with significant exposure in plant HR
  • Experience in managing unionized and non-unionized workforce preferred
