Plant Head

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily plant operations covering

  injection moulding

  ,

  compression moulding

  ,

  SMC/DMC/MF thermoset moulding

  , and

  tooling

  .
• Ensure

  production targets

  ,

  quality KPIs

  , and

  on-time delivery

  metrics are consistently achieved.
• Manage cross-functional teams including Production, Maintenance, Tool Room, Quality, Stores, and Logistics.
  
• Drive

  continuous improvement (Kaizen, Lean, 5S, TPM)

  for process optimization and waste reduction.
• Plan capacity utilization, manpower deployment, shift scheduling, and preventive maintenance.
  
• Ensure adherence to

  IATF 16949

  ,

  ISO 14001

  , and

  ZED

  standards.
• Interface with R&D, QA/QC, and customers to troubleshoot technical and quality issues.
  
• Coordinate with senior management on budgeting, capital investment, and cost control.
  
• Monitor plant-level P&L, productivity ratios, downtime, and machine utilization.
  
• Promote a culture of

  safety

Desired Candidate Profile

• Education

  : Diploma / Degree from

  CIPET (Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology)

  or

  NTTF (Nettur Technical Training Foundation)

  is mandatory.

• Experience

  : Minimum 15 years in plastics processing, with at least 5 years in a senior plant leadership role.
• Strong exposure to:
  

• Plastic Injection Moulding (50T – 650T)

• Compression and Thermoset Moulding

• Automotive and Electrical component manufacturing

• Proven track record in handling

  audits

  ,

  client approvals

  , and

  zero-defect deliveries

  .
• Hands-on with

  mould trials, troubleshooting, machine settings, and tool validations

  .
• Familiar with

  ERP-based plant management

  , MIS reporting, and cost optimization.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
  

Preferred Attributes

• Experience in

  Tier-1 or Tier-2 automotive component manufacturing

  is an advantage.
• Exposure to

  TPM, Six Sigma, TQM

  methodologies.
• Ability to lead shop-floor digitization, automation, and process upgradation.
