Desired Candidate Profile 20-30 years of experience in petrochemical/plastics industry as an engineer or manager. Strong leadership and management skills with ability to motivate teams towards achieving goals. Proven track record in strategic planning, resource management, financial oversight & budgeting. Deep technical knowledge of Polymers (Polypropylene and other Engineering Polymers) and its compounding/masterbatch field.
Strategic R&D Leadership: Develop and implement the R&D strategy in alignment with the company's overall business objectives. Identify and prioritize research projects that will give the company a competitive advantage. Product Development: Lead the development of new PP and engineering polymer compounds and masterbatches from lab-scale trials to full-scale commercial production. This includes formulating recipes, selecting raw materials and additives, and optimizing processing parameters. Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of R&D chemists, engineers, and technicians. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Technical Support and Collaboration: Provide technical support to the sales, marketing, and production teams. Work closely with customers to understand their needs and develop custom-tailored solutions. Quality and Compliance: Ensure all R&D activities and products comply with relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO, ASTM), quality control protocols, and safety regulations. Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of R&D projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget. Market and Technology Awareness: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor products to guide research initiatives.
