Plant Head for Packaging Client

As a Plant Head with our Packaging Client based in Mumbai, you will play a crucial role in overseeing all plant operations to ensure alignment with business objectives and goals. With a minimum of 15 years of experience in the printing and packaging industry, including at least 4 years in a leadership/plant head capacity, you will lead a team to drive production planning, team leadership, quality control, cost efficiency, and regulatory compliance. Your key responsibilities will include overseeing daily plant operations, optimizing manpower, machinery, and materials utilization, developing production plans to enhance efficiency and growth, and maintaining production volume and quality standards. You will focus on minimizing downtime, managing operational costs, overseeing budgets, and implementing cost-saving initiatives while ensuring strong financial performance. Additionally, you will lead cross-functional teams across production, quality, maintenance, logistics, and HR, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous learning. Your role will involve identifying skill gaps, coordinating training programs, overseeing inventory management, and ensuring machinery maintenance. You will also be responsible for planning and executing plant upgrades or expansions, supporting new product development, and ensuring customer satisfaction. To excel in this role, you should hold a Degree or Diploma in Printing Technology, Packaging Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. In-depth knowledge of printing processes, converting operations, packaging materials, and quality systems is essential. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills are required, along with exposure to lean manufacturing and continuous improvement frameworks. Desirable attributes include experience with innovative and sustainable packaging solutions, familiarity with digital transformation and automation in packaging, and a track record of driving operational excellence and change management.
