Plant Head

As a Plant Head at our Diesel Generator manufacturing unit in Hyderabad, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the operations, planning, and commercial coordination of the plant. Your responsibilities will include strategic oversight and tactical execution of Production, Planning & Control (PPC), QC, Design, Supply Chain, Vendor Development, and Sales & Service Coordination. You will be accountable for ensuring operational excellence, product quality, customer commitments, profitability, safety, and team development. **Qualifications & Experience:** - Minimum Qualification: B. Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. - Experience Level: 15+ years in the electrical equipment manufacturing industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. - Hands-on Background: Strong foundation in an engineering/fabrication environment, proficient in interpreting engineering drawings. - Age & Attitude: 40+ years of age, positive attitude, and impeccable integrity. **Required Skills Set:** - Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of production planning tools, electrical control panels, and basic PCB manufacturing processes. - Standards & Compliance: Expertise in ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, and CPCB norms. - Audit & Documentation: Proven experience in QMS documentation and managing audits. - Leadership: Team building and leadership skills. - Process Improvement: Lean manufacturing principles, Kaizen, time and motion studies. - Supply Chain and Vendor Management: Strategic sourcing, supplier development, cost optimization. - Production Capability: Handling multi-shift work environment with stringent delivery deadlines. **Strategic & Operational Leadership:** - Translate organizational goals into actionable plant-level strategies. - Report to top management with comprehensive updates and production reports. - Manage the plant's operational budget and P&L. **Production, Planning & Control (PPC):** - Oversee production lifecycle and quality standards. - Plan raw materials and tooling, manage inventory levels. - Make critical decisions on equipment and maintenance. - Develop a network of sub-vendors for outsourcing activities. **Sales & Services Coordination:** - Bridge between commercial and production teams. - Lead service department for warranty claims and spare parts. - Enhance customer satisfaction and support DG sets. **Quality, Safety & Team Development:** - Champion safety and quality culture. - Mentor and develop teams for a high-performance environment. - Be available on the shop floor or on-call as needed.
