Job Description

Job Summary:

The Placement Officer is responsible for developing and maintaining strong industry partnerships, facilitating campus placements and internship opportunities, and acting as the key liaison between students, employers, and the institution. The role involves strategic planning, student career guidance, and initiatives aimed at enhancing the employability skills of students.



Key Responsibilities

1. Placement Coordination

  • Identify, engage, and onboard potential recruiters for internships and campus placements.
  • Organize on-campus and off-campus recruitment drives, interviews, assessments, and selection processes.
  • Maintain and regularly update placement records, student databases, and employer information.

2. Industry Relations & Networking

  • Build and nurture industry-institution relationships for placements, internships, live projects, and training programs.
  • Collaborate with HR and industry leaders to understand hiring needs and emerging workplace trends.
  • Represent the institution at career fairs, networking events, and placement-related forums.

3. Student Training & Development

  • Conduct employability enhancement programs including resume building, interview preparation, soft skills, aptitude training, and career guidance.
  • Organize mock interviews, group discussions, and mentoring sessions.
  • Provide personalized career counseling and support to students.



Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Management, Human Resources, Education, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in campus placements, corporate relations, or HR (preferably in an educational institution).



Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong networking, corporate liaison, and relationship management abilities.
  • Effective planning, coordination, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of industry hiring practices and job market trends.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools and database/CRM systems.
