Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Industry Relations & Recruitment:

    • Develop and maintain relationships with potential recruiters, alumni, and industry professionals.
    • Identify and target new recruitment partners across industries including finance, consulting, marketing, operations, HR, IT, and entrepreneurship.
    • Organize corporate presentations, networking events, and industry-specific recruitment drives.
    • Coordinate the entire placement process for students, from job announcements to pre-placement talks and final interviews.
    • Maintain a robust system for tracking student profiles, interviews, and placement results.
    • Ensure that all logistics are in place for placement season, including venue bookings, interview schedules, and technology setup.

2. Student Counseling & Support:

    • Offer one-on-one career counseling to students, helping them align their skills, interests, and career aspirations with industry needs.
    • Conduct mock interviews, group discussions, and resume-building workshops.
    • Assist students in exploring career options and understanding the hiring trends in the industry.

Skill Development & Training:

    • Organize skill enhancement workshops, including leadership development, communication skills, soft skills, and interview preparation.
    • Collaborate with faculty and industry experts to design and deliver tailored training sessions that help students stay competitive in the job market.
    • Develop and implement online resources, webinars, and other self-learning tools for students.

Networking & Alumni Engagement:

    • Foster connections between alumni and current students for mentorship, networking, and recruitment opportunities.
    • Organize alumni interactions such as guest lectures, webinars, and panel discussions to help students understand various career paths and gain industry insights.
    • Create and manage an alumni database to facilitate future networking and collaboration.

Data Management & Reporting:

    • Maintain up-to-date data on student placements, including company names, job titles, locations, and salary packages.
    • Regularly track and report on placement statistics to school leadership.
    • Monitor the progress of placement efforts, identifying areas for improvement and taking necessary actions to address challenges.

Key Requirements:

  • Education:

    • Any Bachelors or Post Graduate degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Experience:

    • Minimum 3-5 years as Placement Officer
    • Should be well connected in all HR forums
    • Good Communication & willing to travel across
    • Salary is not a constraint for the right candidate
