Pharmacist

Job Summary:

The Pharmacist is responsible for dispensing veterinary medicines and ensuring accurate, safe, and timely delivery of prescribed medications. The role involves maintaining inventory, ensuring regulatory compliance, providing guidance on medication usage, and supporting veterinarians and pet parents with pharmaceutical care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense prescribed veterinary medicines accurately as per the veterinarian’s instructions.
• Maintain proper stock levels and inventory records of all medicines and supplies.
• Ensure that all medicines are stored and handled as per veterinary standards and manufacturer guidelines.
• Keep track of expiry dates and manage returns or disposals of expired/damaged stock.
• Provide guidance to veterinarians and pet parents regarding dosage, administration, and side effects of medications.
• Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, sales, and controlled substances as per company and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with the procurement/purchase team for timely replenishment of stock.
• Ensure compliance with all local and company regulations regarding pharmacy operations.
• Assist in audits, documentation, and reports related to pharmacy and inventory.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy area.
• Support clinic operations and collaborate with the clinical and front desk teams for smooth functioning.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (D. Pharm / B. Pharm).
• Valid pharmacist license/registration as per state regulatory authority.
• Prior experience in a veterinary or medical pharmacy preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing medications.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, inventory management software).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
