Job Title: PGT English Teacher We are seeking a dedicated and passionate PGT English Teacher to join a thriving educational institution in India. This on-site role offers an exciting opportunity to inspire and educate secondary school students in the study of English language and literature. As a PGT English Teacher, you will play a crucial role in shaping the academic and personal development of your students, fostering a love for reading, writing, and critical analysis. Role Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging lesson plans for English language and literature. Incorporate a variety of instructional methodologies to meet diverse learning needs. Assess student progress through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback. Enhance students’ writing skills through creative and analytical writing exercises. Organize and participate in school events such as literary fairs and debates. Encourage critical thinking and discussion in the classroom. Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues. Stay updated on educational trends and integrate innovative practices. Collaborate with other teachers to create interdisciplinary projects. Help students prepare for examinations and assessments. Provide individualized support to students needing extra assistance. Utilize technology to enhance the learning experience. Maintain accurate attendance and academic records. Participate in professional development opportunities. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field. Master’s degree in English or education preferred. Valid teaching certification for secondary education. Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in an English classroom. Strong understanding of English grammar and literature. Ability to develop comprehensive lesson plans. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience with student assessment and evaluation. Proficient in using digital teaching tools and platforms. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment. Commitment to student-centered teaching practices.
