About Business Line/Function:

At BNP Paribas Deutschland, we are working on the next stage of banking and trading to allow our customers access to our services through modern third-party offerings. APIs enable us to work more closely with partners to create new solutions with added value for our customers. In addition to our existing APIs, we want to develop and implement new ideas, build a platform for developers and continuously work on the developer experience. In this way, we want to extend cooperation with large and small enterprises with the goal to build an ecosystem.

Position Purpose:

Ensure high‑quality, resilient, and high‑performing applications by designing, executing, and analysing load‑ and performance‑testing scenarios across the technology stack.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design Test Scenarios
• Create comprehensive load‑test cases that reflect real‑world usage.
• Define required test data and performance metrics.
• Develop and maintain automated scripts using Tricentis NeoLoad and LoadRunner.
• Integrate tests with PI (M2C) applications and related architecture.
• Run tests in Linux‑based environments (OpenShift, Tomcat 9+, Java, Spring, Oracle‑DB).
• Continuously monitor system behaviour and resource utilisation.
• Review output, identify bottlenecks, and perform root‑cause analysis for failures.
• Produce clear, actionable defect reports.
• Create, track, and validate fixes in collaboration with development and operations teams.
• Recommend performance‑improvement actions and verify their effectiveness.
• Supervise 2‑4 direct reports; coach junior testers and promote skill development.
• Document best practices and contribute to enhancing the overall testing framework.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Education

  – Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent).

• Professional Experience

  – Minimum 8 years in IT software QA/testing; at least 6 years in load & performance testing; at least 6 years working with PI applications/architecture (M2C).

• Technical Skills

  - Strong knowledge of Linux, Java, Tomcat 9+, Spring, Oracle‑DB, OpenShift.

• Expertise in Tricentis NeoLoad and LoadRunner.
