P&C Actuarial Analyst- Reserving

As part of the growing actuarial function at Allianz Services India, you will work closely with the Allianz UK Commercial reserving team on various reserve transformation projects. This role requires strong technical reserving expertise combined with advanced coding skills to support the UK team's strategic initiatives and business-as-usual activities.

The selected candidate will play a key role in modernizing reserving processes, developing analytical tools for the UK Commercial portfolio

Duties and Responsibilities

• Work closely with the UK reserving team, finance, and IT teams on reserve transformation projects and process improvement initiatives
• Develop, optimize, and maintain reserving models and analytical tools
• Automate reserving processes using Python, R, VBA, or other programming languages
• Ensure data quality and integrity in reserving processes, including reconciliations between different data sources
• Provide technical support and training to team members
• Participate in model validation and peer review activities
• Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and insights

Qualification, Experience and Skills

• Master’s degree in Actuarial Science/Statistics/Mathematics/B.Tech with good academic background
• Student member of a recognized Actuarial Institute such as IFoA, IAI, SOA etc. and has good progression with actuarial exams
• Mandatory 1 or more years of professional experience in developing actuarial models and/or automating tasks using Python
• Partnering mentality with the ability to build strong working relationships with peers, management and the business areas
• Strong programming skills: Python, R, VBA,
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with ability to interact with customers from different geographical areas
• Good with Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to details
