Payroll Specialist

Role Overview

We are looking for a Global Payroll Specialist to manage the end-to-end payroll lifecycle for our teams in India and the United States. You will be the bridge between our finance and HR departments, ensuring that employees in both regions are paid accurately while navigating two vastly different regulatory environments.

Key Responsibilities

1. USA Payroll Management

Tax Withholding: Process federal, state, and local taxes based on Form W-4 and state-specific withholding certificates.

Compliance: Manage FICA (Social Security & Medicare), FUTA, and SUTA contributions.

Benefits: Administer 401(k) deferrals, health insurance premiums (Section 125 plans), and HSA/FSA contributions.

Year-End: Assist in the generation and distribution of Forms W-2 and 1099-NEC.

2. India Payroll Management

Salary Structuring: Manage the CTC breakup (Basic, HRA, LTA, Special Allowance) and ensure compliance with the New Labour Codes.

Statutory Filings: Oversee monthly EPF (ECR), ESIC, and Professional Tax (PT) deposits across different states.

TDS & Income Tax: Manage the investment declaration process (Form 12BB), compute monthly TDS, and issue Form 16 annually.

Full & Final: Process F&F settlements, including gratuity and leave encashment calculations.

3. General Operations

Software Proficiency: Work across global platforms such as ADP (GlobalView/Run), Workday, Zenefits, or Keka/GreytHR.

Reconciliation: Perform monthly audits to ensure payroll registers match bank transfer files and accounting ledgers.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience:

  2+ years of hands-on experience in both India and US payroll.

• Education:

  B.Com, MBA Finance, or equivalent. (FPC/CPP or Indian Labour Law certification is a major plus).
