Payroll Manager, India

Oversee the end-to-end payroll lifecycle, including salary computation, validation, disbursement, and reconciliation.
Responsibilities

• Payroll Processing and Administration:

  Manage the payroll vendorOversee the end-to-end payroll lifecycle, including salary computation, validation, disbursement, and reconciliation.Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, and other earnings in accordance with company policies.Coordinate with HR for employee lifecycle updates (e.g., new hires, exits, leaves, promotions) and incorporate relevant changes into payroll.Administer payroll for different categories of employees (full-time, part-time, contractors,).Taxation and Compliance :Ensure that outsourced vendor Manages direct and indirect tax compliance, including GST, TDS, and income tax filingsEnsure that outsourced vendor Maintains strict adherence to Indian labor laws and statutory requirements, including:Provident Fund (PF), Employee State Insurance (ESI), Tax Deducted at Source (TDS),Gratuity Act, Professional TaxEnsure that outsourced vendor files statutory returns (e.g., TDS, PF, ESI) accurately and within prescribed timelines.Regularly ensure that payroll practices are updated in line with changes in legislation and compliance requirements.QualificationsEducation & QualificationBachelordegree in Finance, Accounting,Chartered Accountant (CA) (Good to have)ExperienceAt least 10- 13 years of experience with hands on India payroll experienceDemonstrated experience in managing financial operations in small to mid size organizations or multinational corporations.Experience with overseeing/managing India payroll operationsLive the Paychex ValuesAct with uncompromising integrity.Provide outstanding service and build trusted relationships.Drive innovation in our products and services and continually improve our processes.Work in partnership and support each other.Be personally accountable and deliver on commitments.Treat each other with respect and dignity.Not sure if you meet every requirementAt Paychex, we know that great talent comes in many forms.
