Role Description

Patent Marketing Specialist

Key Responsibility

>Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote patent services and IP portfolio management.

>Collaborate with patent attorneys, agents, and technical experts to translate complex IP concepts into client-friendly messaging.

>Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors, and potential client segments.

>Create engaging marketing materials—presentations, brochures, newsletters, and digital content—for patent-related services.

>Manage email marketing campaigns, webinars, and educational events to generate leads.

>Build and maintain strong relationships with inventors, startups, universities, and corporate clients.

>Support business development efforts by identifying partnership opportunities and assisting in client outreach.

>Track and analyze marketing performance metrics, providing insights for continuous improvement.

Qualification

• Bachelor’s/Master's degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, Science, or related field.
• Advanced degree or exposure to intellectual property law is a plus.

Skill & Experience

• Proven experience (2–4 years) in marketing, preferably in legal, technology, or IP-related industries.
• Strong understanding of intellectual property concepts, especially patents.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex topics.
• Hands-on experience with digital marketing tools (e.g., HubSpot, Mailchimp, Google Analytics, SEO).
• Strong presentation and client engagement skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with technical and legal teams.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects.

Preferred

• Experience in patent law firms, IP consulting, or technology transfer offices.
• Familiarity with patent databases and IP management software.
• Knowledge of B2B marketing and lead generation strategies.
