Patent & IP Manager

We are seeking a detail-oriented and legally authorized Patent & IP Manager (Registered Patent Agent) to join our Intellectual Property team in Hyderabad, Telangana. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s patent portfolio, drafting, filing, and prosecuting patent applications in compliance with Indian and international patent laws. This role requires a strong combination of technical knowledge, legal expertise, and analytical skills, along with the ability to collaborate closely with inventors, R&D teams, and external legal counsel.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct prior art searches and patentability assessments
• Draft patent specifications and claims in alignment with technical disclosures
• File patent applications with the Indian Patent Office and coordinate international filings (PCT, USPTO, EPO, etc.)
• Respond to office actions and manage prosecution timelines
• Liaise with inventors, engineers, and legal teams to gather technical inputs
• Monitor and maintain patent portfolios and deadlines
• Stay updated on changes in patent laws and procedures in India and globally
• Support IP strategy development and innovation capture processes

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in law (LLB) with specialization in Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) from a recognized university (mandatory).
• or bachelor’s degree in science / engineering / technology from a recognized university.
• Master’s degree or higher preferred
• Must be a Registered Patent Agent with the Indian Patent Office (IPO)

Requirements

• Registered Patent Agent under the Indian Patent Act (mandatory).
• Strong knowledge of Indian patent law, filing procedures, and PCT/WIPO processes.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in patent drafting and filing.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple IP projects independently.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹240,000.00 - ₹360,000.00 per year
