Your primary responsibility will involve working on the process of creating Animation-ready files and final delivery files. This will entail collaborating closely with the art, animation, marketing, and development teams to ensure the seamless workflow for games. Your tasks will include preparing Adobe Photoshop files by managing layers effectively, naming layers appropriately, chopping assets as per requirements, and maintaining file health for animations in After Effects and Spine. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring that the final files are ready for the development team to utilize. To excel in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in Painting, Visual Arts, or a related field. Previous work experience as a Game Artist, Implementation Artist, Production Artist, or a similar job role is essential. Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop is a must to process animation-ready files from PSD, PSB, and JPEG formats. A basic understanding of the requirements for 2D animations in After Effects and Spine will be advantageous. Furthermore, your attention to detail in layer naming and creating final files for clients will be critical for success in this role.
