Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Cost Accountant based in Visakhapatnam. The Cost Accountant will be responsible for evaluating and analyzing financial cost data related to production costs, preparing detailed product costing and financial statements. Key responsibilities include monitoring and managing cost structures, conducting variance analyses, and providing recommendations to enhance financial efficiency in the manufacturing processes. Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain product-wise and process-wise cost sheets for automobile parts and vehicles Analyze BOM, routing, and standard costing for materials, labor, and overheads Monitor production costs across machining, welding, painting, assembly, and quality operations Conduct material consumption and scrap analysis; identify cost reduction opportunities Perform variance analysis (material, labor, overhead) and report deviations Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; certification as a Cost Accountant (CMA) or equivalent is preferred Proficient in using accounting software and advanced Excel skills Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities Previous experience of 10+ years in the automobile manufacturing industry is a must.
