Painting / Insulation Site In-Charge

Key Responsibilities:

>> Leadership & Team Supervision: Lead and supervise a team of painting professionals, ensuring that tasks are completed on time, safely, and to a high standard. Provide coaching and mentoring to less experienced painters.

>> Oversee daily activities related to insulation (PUF, Rockwool, etc.).

>> Supervise insulation works including application of Rockwool, PUF, foam glass, nitrile rubber, etc.

>> Monitor erection of cladding sheets (Aluminium, SS) and accessories (straps, wire netting, screws)

>> Manage insulation activities on pipelines, equipment, ducts, tanks, and vessels.

>> Ensure workmanship as per approved drawings, technical specs, and project requirements.

>> Project Oversight: Manage the scheduling, planning, and execution of painting projects across various areas of the facility or job site. This includes ensuring sufficient resources, such as labor and materials, are available and properly allocated.

>> Quality Control: Inspect the work of painters to ensure it meets the required quality standards, specifications, and project timelines. Conduct quality assurance checks on the preparation, priming, and painting processes.

>> Surface Preparation: Oversee and instruct the preparation of surfaces to be painted, ensuring that cleaning, sanding, priming, and any necessary repairs are performed according to industry standards.

>> Material Management: Oversee the procurement, inventory management, and use of paint, coatings, and related materials. Ensure that materials are stored safely and used efficiently.

>> Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to safety regulations, environmental standards, and best practices in all painting activities. Ensure that painters use proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety procedures.

>> Ensure proper handling, storage, and usage of painting and insulation materials.

>> Training & Development: Provide ongoing training and development for the painting team to enhance skills, promote safety awareness, and maintain knowledge of current painting techniques and technologies.

>> Coordination with Other Departments: Work closely with other departments (e.g., maintenance, operations, quality assurance) to ensure smooth coordination of work and resolve any issues that arise during the painting process.

>> Troubleshooting & Problem Solving: Identify issues during the painting process (such as defects in application, drying, or coating failures) and take appropriate corrective actions to resolve them.

>> Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of painting projects, including progress reports, material usage, labor hours, and any challenges encountered. Report on project status to management as required.

>> Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all painting equipment and tools are in proper working condition. Arrange for any necessary repairs or replacements.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Additional training or certification in painting, coatings, or related fields is preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 08 to 12 years of experience in painting, with at least 10 years in a supervisory role or as a site in-charge.
