Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Supervision: Manage and coordinate the activities of packing staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.

  • Quality Control:Ensure products are packed correctly and meet quality standards, identifying and addressing any defects or issues.

  • Process Improvement:Identify and implement improvements to the packaging process, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Safety Compliance:Ensure adherence to safety regulations and procedures within the packaging area AND Implementing safety measures and protocols for transport operations.

  • Collaboration:Work with other departments like production and logistics to coordinate packaging schedules and meet overall production goals.

  • Documentation:Maintain accurate records of packaging operations, including reports and inventory data.

  • Problem Solving:Address any issues or bottlenecks that arise during the packaging process.Addressing logistical challenges, resolving issues with routes or deliveries, and making critical decisions to optimize operations.

  • Dispatch Operations:Overseeing the dispatch of goods, services, or personnel, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.

  • Scheduling and Planning:Developing and implementing dispatch schedules, managing routes, and coordinating resources (vehicles, drivers, equipment).

  • Logistics Management:Monitoring the status of dispatches, tracking deliveries, and optimizing logistics processes.

  • Team Leadership:Providing guidance to dispatch staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment, and ensuring team performance.

  • Communication:Communicating with drivers, customers, and other stakeholders, providing updates on delivery status and addressing inquiries.

  • Compliance:Ensuring compliance with transportation regulations and company policies.

  • Data Analysis:Analyzing dispatch data to assess performance, identify areas for improvement, and prepare reports.

  • Process Improvement:Identifying opportunities to enhance dispatch processes, implement new technologies, and improve overall efficiency.

  • Inventory Management:Maintaining accurate records of inventory, tracking shipments, and managing stock levels.

  • Customer Service:Ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction by providing timely and accurate information, resolving issues, and maintaining positive relationships.

  • Training and Development:Training and supervising dispatch staff to improve their skills and performance.
