Key Responsibilities (KR):

1. Export-Grade Packaging Development

• Design and develop

  packaging solutions

  specifically suited for international shipping and export compliance.
• Ensure all designs meet

  global standards

  for protection, stackability, and durability during long-distance transit.

2. Optimal Size Utilization

• Create packaging that

  maximizes container and pallet space

  , reduces dead volume, and enhances logistics efficiency.
• Develop

  size-optimized templates

  across product families to reduce shipping and storage costs.

3. Material Selection & Standardization

• Identify

  lightweight yet durable materials

  suitable for export conditions.

• Standardize materials and formats

  across SKUs to optimize cost and simplify inventory management.

4. Structural & Aesthetic Design

• Prepare

  structural drawings, dielines, and mockups

  using CAD or other relevant design tools.
• Collaborate with

  product and branding teams

  to ensure alignment with design aesthetics and brand identity.

5. Packaging Testing & Validation

• Conduct

  drop, vibration, moisture, and compression tests

  to validate packaging for air and sea freight.
• Analyze test data and

  refine specifications

  to ensure superior performance and compliance.

6. Vendor Coordination & Cost Optimization

• Partner with

  packaging vendors

  to source cost-effective, high-quality materials.

• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and alternatives

  to maintain quality within budgeted timelines.

7. Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain detailed

  packaging specifications, test reports, and version-controlled design files.

• Ensure compliance with

  international packaging regulations

  (e.g., ISPM 15, REACH, FSC).

8. Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work closely with

  design, production, dispatch, and QA teams

  to implement packaging solutions that are practical and production-ready.
• Provide

  training and clear guidelines

  to packing teams on proper assembly and handling.

9. Innovation & Sustainability

• Propose

  eco-friendly, recyclable, or biodegradable packaging alternatives.

• Evaluate and integrate

  new technologies

  to reduce packaging waste and environmental impact.

10. Project Execution & Timelines

• Lead packaging development projects

  from concept to execution

  with defined deliverables.
• Monitor project milestones, manage revisions, and ensure

  timely deployment

  of packaging solutions for all export shipments.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree

  in Packaging Technology, Industrial Design, or Engineering.

• 10+ years of experience

  in export-grade packaging, preferably in manufacturing, consumer goods, or automotive sectors.
• Expertise in

  CAD, structural design, and international packaging standards.

• Strong leadership, vendor management, and cost optimization skills.
