Job Description

The Cold Call Sales Agent plays a crucial role in generating new business opportunities for CastleGate Forwarding (CGF) by engaging in proactive outbound calling and email outreach. The primary focus of this role is to identify and qualify leads, effectively communicate the value proposition of CGF services, and schedule follow-up interactions for the sales team. The agent will utilize provided scripts, templates, and training materials, while also maintaining progress tracking through designated trackers and systems. Responsibilities include conducting outbound cold calls to potential suppliers, using scripts to convey the value of CGF services, identifying and qualifying leads based on specific criteria, gathering essential information from suppliers, scheduling follow-up calls and meetings, utilizing email templates for outreach, and participating in training sessions to gain industry knowledge and familiarity with CGF and Wayfair. Furthermore, providing feedback and insights based on customer interactions, and monitoring daily activities and progress through provided systems and tools are integral aspects of the role. Qualified candidates should possess previous experience in telemarketing or a similar sales/customer service role, with professional background in freight forwarding sales or related fields being preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, proficiency in negotiation and complaint resolution, comfort in making outbound calls and addressing objections, and competence in using basic computer systems and tracking tools are essential. Successful candidates will also exhibit the ability to follow scripts and guidelines, along with possessing strong organizational and time management skills. The working conditions may include night shifts to cover East Coast business hours for those located in different time zones. Adequate training and support will be provided, and performance will be evaluated based on specific KPIs and success criteria. Reporting for this position will be to the designated Sales Manager or Team Lead.,
