Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Oracle Database Administrator located in Hyderabad. The Oracle Database Administrator will be responsible for day-to-day tasks such as database administration, replication, troubleshooting, and database security to ensure the smooth functioning of the company's databases.

Key Responsibilities

- Database Administration: Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle database software to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

- Database Security: Implement and maintain robust database security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

- Performance Tuning: Optimize database performance by identifying and resolving bottlenecks, tuning SQL queries, and configuring database parameters.

- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot complex database issues, including performance problems, data corruption, and system failures.

- Backup and Recovery: Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies using RMAN, ensuring business continuity and minimizing data loss.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree: In Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with a strong foundation in database concepts and administration.

- Oracle DBA Experience: Freshers or experienced candidates with basic knowledge of Oracle database administration can apply.

- Oracle Database Administration: Understanding of Oracle database architecture, including datafiles, control files, redo logs, and undo management.

Additional Requirements

- Oracle Concepts: Familiarity with Oracle database concepts, including SQL and PL/SQL.

- Database Security: Understanding of database security best practices, including access control, encryption, and auditing.

- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex database issues.

Technical Skills

- Oracle Database: Experience with Oracle database administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.

- SQL and PL/SQL: Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL, with the ability to write efficient and effective database code.

- Oracle Enterprise Manager: Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (EM), including configuration, management, and monitoring of database environments.
