About the Role

Legal Executive

Key Responsibilities

Litigation

  • Maintain and update the master record of all legal cases and share periodic status reports with management.
  • Attend court matters across India along with solicitors, counsel, and advocates.
  • Handle property-related litigation and maintain updated documentation for properties in Panvel, Raigad, and Thane.
  • Coordinate and attend hearings in various courts and tribunals (Pune, Belapur, Kurla, Small Causes Court, etc.).
  • Manage direct and indirect tax legal matters in coordination with Accounts and external consultants.
  • Prepare legal notes, case summaries, and recommendations for pending litigations.
  • Track amendments, notifications, and court rulings; update and advise management as needed.
  • Monitor legal consultants professional fees and ensure timely payment follow-ups.

Non-Litigation

  • Liaise with government and municipal authorities for licenses, tax payments, permissions, and statutory compliance.
  • Draft, review, maintain, and renew agreements (Power of Attorney, Rent/Leave & License, Vendor Agreements, Trademark Assignments, etc.).
  • Ensure proper registration and secure custody of all legal documents.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure compliance and report any irregularities promptly.

Corporate Governance & Board Support

  • Assist in planning and conducting Board Meetings, AGM/EGM for group companies (SPL, SBPL & others).
  • Prepare and maintain minutes, statutory registers, and corporate governance records.
  • Support execution of Board decisions and maintain effective communication with Directors.
  • Draft and circulate policies and procedures related to corporate governance.

General

  • Maintain department correspondence and documentation.
  • Perform any additional responsibilities assigned by management.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelors degree in Law (LLB).
  • 0-3 years of experience in corporate legal roles (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of litigation, compliance, and corporate governance.
  • Good drafting, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Ability to handle multi-location work and travel when required.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.
