About The Opportunity

• Perform high-precision phacoemulsification cataract surgeries, ensuring optimal visual outcomes and patient safety.
• Lead pre-operative assessments: slit-lamp exams, biometry, and refractive calculations to craft individualized surgical plans.
• Manage comprehensive outpatient clinics, diagnosing and treating anterior & posterior segment conditions in line with evidence-based protocols.
• Provide post-operative follow-up, monitor recovery, and intervene promptly to mitigate complications.
• Mentor junior doctors, optometrists, and OT nurses on surgical techniques, sterilization, and infection-control standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive community outreach programs, patient education, and quality-improvement initiatives.
  

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

• MS/MD/DNB in Ophthalmology with valid MCI/State registration.
• Minimum 3 years independent phacoemulsification experience (>1,000 cataract cases).
• Proficiency in biometry, IOL power calculation, and post-surgical refractive management.
• Solid expertise in clinical diagnostics: OCT, fundus photography, perimetry.
• Excellent patient-centric communication and informed-consent practices.
  

Preferred

• Fellowship in Cataract & Refractive Surgery or similar subspecialty.
• Experience with femto-second laser platforms or toric/multifocal IOLs.
• Exposure to EMR-based workflow and quality-accreditation standards (NABH/JCI).
