Role & responsibilities:

Retail Store Operations

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of retail stores in Pune and surrounding areas.
  • Develop and enforce SOPs for smooth and consistent operations.
  • Conduct periodic store audits to ensure compliance with company standards and

policies.

Inventory & Supply Chain Management

  • Manage inventory levels across all retail outlets.
  • Coordinate with warehouse and suppliers to maintain stock availability.
  • Optimize stock movement and reduce dead inventory through timely action.

Team Supervision & Staff Training

  • Lead, train, and manage store managers and front-line staff.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and high performance.
  • Schedule and monitor staffing needs based on business requirements.

Customer Experience & Service

  • Ensure exceptional customer service across all touchpoints.
  • Handle escalated customer issues with speed and professionalism.
  • Support in-store sales initiatives and promotional campaigns.

Logistics Coordination

  • Streamline logistics and dispatch for in-store and customer deliveries.
  • Work closely with warehouse teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.

Vendor Management

  • Coordinate with lighting product vendors for procurement and service agreements.
  • Monitor vendor performance and negotiate favorable terms when necessary.

Budgeting & Expense Management

  • Support the preparation of operational budgets and monitor expenditures.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and operational improvements.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with safety norms, especially for electrical and lighting products.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant working environment in all stores.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Generate reports on store performance, stock movement, and operational KPIs.
  • Use insights to recommend process improvements and cost efficiencies.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Graduate in Business, Operations, or related field. MBA is an advantage.
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role in the retail or lighting/home improvement

industry.

  • Strong knowledge of retail operations, inventory management, and team handling.
  • Familiar with ERP systems and retail POS solutions.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills.Outline the day-to-day responsibilities for this role.
