Job Description

  • To motivate and lead the entire Operations team towards achieving the objectives of the department.
  • Responsible for proper manpower planning and effective utilization of available resources.
  • Responsible for proper induction to the department for new recruits.
  • Responsible for periodical training on job skills as well as soft skills for the team members.
  • Responsible for the discipline and work ethics of the department.
  • Responsible for approving duty roasters prepared by various heads of the department.
  • Responsible for preparation of MIS reports, analysis of data and suggest suitable recommendations to improve the systems.
  • Responsible for implementation of SOP in all areas of Operations.
  • Responsible to monitor the admission/discharge/billing process and improve it to enhance the patient satisfaction.
  • Responsible for performance appraisal and recommending promotions/increments, etc.
  • Responsible for immediate action on patients feedback/complaints/suggestions.
  • Responsible to monitor the functioning of patient relations department.
  • Responsible for holding inter-departmental meetings to ease the practical difficulties in achieving the objectives of the department.
  • Responsible for the welfare of the staff of Operations department.
  • Responsible for handling employee grievances of Operations department.
  • Responsible for screening the interview candidates and advising GM-Ops on recruitment for OPS department.
  • Responsible for monitoring Key Indicators and thereby training the resources accordingly.
  • Responsible for smooth functioning of support services i.e., Housekeeping, Security, Maintenance, etc to achieve patients satisfaction.
  • Responsible for submission of daily report on IP Services to GM - OPS
  • To take active part in daily Operations Meeting & representing the Operations Departments requirements.
  • To participate and contribute to departmental quality initiatives.
  • To be aware of departments performance and objectives.
  • To carryout data collection/support in data collection.
  • To adhere to the safety norms of hospital and follow both patient safety and staff safety rules.
