Operations Manager - Ballast Water Treatment Systems

Role & responsibilities

The Operations Manager leads a team of Project Managers to fulfill BWTS service projects. You are responsible for sales revenue and conversion of customer requests to orders. You will lead the process of sales operations, coordination of the execution of the BWTS jobs by our Service Engineers and the final administration including invoicing to the customer. You create an environment which encourages and inspires the team to be their best: responsive to customers and internal stakeholders focused on driving results to meet the organizational goals and objectives. Continuously identifying process gaps and seeking to enhance productivity and service quality to achieve operational excellence.

• Lead a team of Project Managers and manage assigned customer portfolio to ensure the delivery of high quality services
• Coordinate service projects including responding to requests for quotations, quoting, processing orders and coordinating service attendance and invoicing.
• General administration of projects in Mr Marines ERP system
• Manage communication with customers and subcontractors throughout the project
• Provide work plans to the team to coordinate multiple projects
• Lead daily and weekly team stand ups and team meetings
• Regular meetings with client to understand their needs and following up on specific issues/escalations
• Measure, monitor and manage team performance (revenue, margin and conversion rate) to ensure alignment with company objectives
• Manage resources in the most efficient and effective way
• Ensure the team utilizes best practices, techniques and Standards of Operations
• Look for continuous improvement of effectiveness and efficiency of the operations.
• Coaching and developing team members - identifying training needs
• Conduct knowledge sharing sessions within team and cross team
• Correct execution of the companys quality policy.

As Operations Manager you will report to Mr Marines Chief Operations Officer.

Preferred candidate profile

• Msc. degree preferably with a technical background.
• Minimum 3 years experience in a management or leadership role.
• Minimum 5 years experience in the marine industry, preferably in a service coordination role.
• Good written and verbal expression skills - Excellent communication in English (written and verbal).
• Familiarity with an ERP system and Ms Office or Google Suite software applications.
