Job Description

As a Food Operations Manager at Touchstone Foundation Visakhapatnam, you will be responsible for overseeing the cooking and serving of South Indian food to thousands of corporate beneficiaries in Visakhapatnam City. Your main focus will be on managing food supply to various companies in the vicinity, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining strong customer relationships. The central kitchen is located at Gambheeram and Kapparada or Autonagar in Visakhapatnam. Key Responsibilities: - Cook and prepare high-quality food for a large number of corporate employees on a daily basis - Manage food and labor costs within budget constraints - Coordinate food transportation to different companies and serve meals at specified times - Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards, including HACCP guidelines - Develop and train hourly employees to maintain efficient operations - Implement innovative ideas and think creatively to enhance food quality and customer service - Utilize online food management systems for menu planning, ordering, and inventory control - Maintain excellent customer service standards and positive customer relations - Establish a safe work environment and adhere to all HR standards and regulatory requirements - Direct daily food service operations, ensuring equipment, inventory, and resources are sufficient - Develop and implement plans, projects, and budgets to support organizational goals - Lead a team of talented personnel by recruiting, training, and appraising staff - Manage client catering events and ensure adherence to operating standards and regulations Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in a related field - Minimum 5 years of experience in managing food operations, preferably in a high-volume setting - At least 2 years of functional experience in food and culinary services - Strong understanding of financials related to food and labor cost controls - Familiarity with online food management systems and menu planning tools - Proven leadership skills, customer service orientation, and attention to detail - Knowledge of HAACP, food safety, and sanitation guidelines - Ability to establish targets, KPIs, policies, and procedures to drive operational excellence In addition to the above responsibilities and qualifications, you will also be responsible for maintaining positive customer relations, ensuring excellent levels of service, and continuously improving food quality and presentation.
