Operations Manager

Location: Mumbai

Department: Warehouse

Position Overview

The Operations Manager will oversee and optimize the end-to-end operations of our medical device company, ensuring seamless inventory management, efficient supply chain processes, compliance with import/export regulations, and effective management of Pan-India branches. This role is pivotal in maintaining operational excellence and supporting the company's growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management

• Develop and implement strategies to maintain optimal inventory levels across all branches.

• Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.

• Collaborate with procurement to forecast demand and plan inventory replenishment.

• Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and obsolescence.

• Utilize ERP systems to track and manage inventory efficiently.

Supply Chain Operations

• Design and execute supply chain strategies to ensure timely delivery of products.

• Coordinate with suppliers, logistics providers, and internal teams to streamline operations.

• Monitor and evaluate supply chain performance, identifying areas for improvement.

• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements in supply chain processes.

• Leverage data analytics to forecast demand and optimize supply chain activities.

Import/Export Management

• Manage end-to-end import/export operations, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations.

• Prepare and review documentation for shipments, including invoices, bills of lading, and customs declarations.

• Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and carriers to facilitate smooth transportation of goods.

• Stay updated on changes in international trade laws and regulations, ensuring compliance at all times.

• Negotiate shipping rates and contracts with service providers to maintain profitability.

Branch Management (Pan-India)

• Oversee operations across all branches, ensuring consistency and adherence to company standards.

• Provide leadership and support to branch managers, fostering a collaborative work environment.

• Implement training programs to enhance staff skills and operational efficiency.

• Monitor branch performance through KPIs and implement corrective actions as needed.

• Ensure branches comply with local regulations and company policies.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field. ( Medical devices)

• Master degree is a plus

• Minimum of 58 years of experience in operations management within the medical device or healthcare industry.

• Proven expertise in inventory management, supply chain operations, and import/export procedures.

• Strong understanding of Indian and international trade regulations, including customs and compliance requirements.

• Experience with ERP

• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to drive operational improvements.
