Operation Head- Casting & Foundry

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Operations to lead and manage the complete operations of our Casting & Foundry unit in Ahmedabad. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in ferrous and/or non-ferrous casting processes, extensive leadership experience, and a passion for driving operational excellence, cost efficiency, and product quality.

Required Education : Dip/BE in Metallurgy with min 12 to 15 Years of Experience as Prodcution Head or Operation Head Profile in Casting or Foundry Indsutry

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic & Operational Leadership

• Foundry Break Down, cast Iron, SG Iron/ Ductile iron, Carbon Steel Castings.
• Lead the overall foundry operations including Production, Quality, Maintenance, SCM, and EHS.
• Define and implement short and long-term operational strategies aligned with company goals.
• Optimize production plans to meet customer requirements, minimize costs, and maximize efficiency.

Production Management

• Oversee all aspects of melting, molding, core making, pouring, fettling, and heat treatment.
• Monitor daily production output and quality targets and drive continuous improvements.
• Introduce lean manufacturing and Six Sigma practices to reduce wastage and downtime.

Quality Assurance & Control

• Ensure that products meet national and international quality standards (ISO, IATF, etc.).
• Collaborate with the Quality team to reduce rejections and customer complaints.
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for process deviations.

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead, mentor, and manage a cross-functional team of engineers, supervisors, and operators.
• Identify training needs and develop skill enhancement programs for the operations team.
• Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.

Cost Management & Budgeting

• Develop and manage operational budgets, monitor cost variances, and ensure profitability.
• Drive cost-saving initiatives across production, energy consumption, and material usage.

Supply Chain & Vendor Coordination

• Coordinate with the supply chain team for timely procurement of raw materials and consumables.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and logistics partners to ensure smooth operations.

Maintenance & Safety

• Ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance systems are effectively implemented.
• Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and statutory compliance (e.g., Factory Act, Pollution Control, etc.).

Key Skills & Competencies:

• In-depth knowledge of foundry processes – cast Iron, SG Iron/ Ductile iron, Carbon Steel Castings.
• Strong leadership, planning, and decision-making capabilities
• Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹150,000.00 - ₹200,000.00 per month
